it's official. i leave for paraguay a week from today. flight was booked this morning. and amidst the craziness and uncertainty of trying to decide where to go, what to do, whether or not i want to be doing this, and why i should even be doing all of these things...i have finally come to a few simple conclusions.
1. i'm very much looking forward to having guarana every day of my life again...soda that essentially tastes like medicine, but once you drink enough of it, it's amazing.
2. i cannot wait to wake up to sound of horse hooves on cobblestone. for some odd reason it was the most wonderfully crisp and perfect sound. i only hope that where i live this time will have just as much early morning horse traffic as the last house.
3. people. i'm excited to go back to people, continue friendships, and make new ones. and despite the crazy frustratingness of kids in the classroom, and how i will once again have to break up fights and take punches when i'm teaching certain grades...i'm looking forward to being with them again.
